Toes in The Sand
One of my favorite things about beach sessions with families and their young children is seeing them play (or not play) in the sand. Those tiny little feet making equally as tiny imprints into the and that will soon be washed away by the coming waves.

I remember my oldest first time at the beach he was just over a year old. He did not know what to make of the sand and the water. Each time we tried to set his feet down he would spring them back up. Eventually, he touched the sand and from then on he was good to go.

It’s one of my favorite things to watch as families come to the beach and have their family sessions done by the coast. Each one discovering the water and sand in their own little ways. Some not so sure and some can not wait to dig a hole or splash in the water. Some prefer to take it all in from the safety of mom or dad’s arms. Either way it is a special moment that forever cemented into our thoughts.
